Deskcamping Payment Terms

Term Definitions

In these payment terms: "we/us/our" means Deskcamping Limited; "Website" means the Deskcamping website at www.deskcamping.com; "you"/"your" means the user of the online services. “Host” means the user offering a desk on our Website to be rented by other users. “Tenant” refers to the user renting a desk from the “Host”.

VAT and Tax Obligation

Any tax obligation for the rental remains with the Host. We solely facilitate payment from the Tenant to the Host. If the Host is liable to pay VAT, we advise the Host to advertise his listing on our page with the VAT amount included in the price. Further, we suggest any Host to get independent and qualified tax advice.

Our fees

We deduct our fees from the Tenants payments and pay out the remainder to the Host. The fee is currently set at 9%.

We reserve the right to amend the fee in the future. Written notice of changes to our fees will be given thirty(30) days ahead of the change for existing agreements. Our fee is exclusive of VAT where applicable.

Liabilities and Damages

We do not accept any liability for damages to the Host or any property of the Host by the Tenant. This includes but is not limited to lost keys, theft, unauthorised access etc.

We do not accept any liability for the Tenant or any property of the Tenant by the Host. This includes but is not limited to theft, personal safety at the Host’s premises etc.

Our role in Rental Agreements

The Host and the Tenant agree their rental terms separately and without deskcamping.

We offer the Host a platform to advertise his deskspace for free.

We offer to take payments from the Tenant and transfer them to the Host after deducting our fee.

We do not act as agents for the Host.

We do not act as agents for the Tenant.

Identity verification

We require identity verification from a Host once the Host receives payments. The amount of data depends on the volume of transactions but typically consists of the following:

For Companies:

  • Company Name
  • Company Number
  • Company Address
  • First and Last name of Directors

For Individuals:

  • First and Last name
  • Residential Address
  • Date of Birth

We require photo ID for accounts with high volumes of transactions.

Fund processing

We process funds immediately upon booking completion, however, the timing to receive payouts will vary based on the Payment Method and any applicable payment system (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, etc.) rules.

Recurring payments

bookings we require that Tenants make recurring, incremental payments towards the Total Fees owed. The booking automatically renews every 30 days.

Tenants can cancel agreements at any time, if the next due date is at least seven (7) days after the cancellation date, the booking will not be renewed.

Refunds

Confirmed bookings can be cancelled by the Tenant up to seven(7) days before the booking commences and the Tenant is eligible for a full refund unless otherwise agreed between Tenant and Host.

Cancellations less than seven (7) days before the booking start date will not be refunded to the Tenant and the payment already made belongs to the Host.

We will process refunds immediately, however, the timing to receive any refund will vary based on the Payment Method and any applicable payment system (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, etc.) rules.
